phonal is a Vancouver-based listener and creator of computer music. He has created music for contemporary dance works by Sara Coffin, James Gnam, Jennifer Clarke, and Meghan Goodman. With Goodman and visual artist Igor Santizo, he was a founding member of IMP Collective. He composed several works as part of LocoMotoArt, a digital eco-art group presenting digital art in natural settings. He composes music almost exclusively in SuperCollider on Linux, and assisted with the technical editing of Mapping and Visualization in SuperCollider.
